UKE Magazine Issue 33 - Competition

In Issue 33, readers have the chance to win an Ohana SK-75R soprano ukulele.

Please note, the 1st pass through is the exact transcription of the solo. Following that he goes into other variations of playing a Pre-War Style D blues on the baritone, tipping his hat to Lonnie Johnson, Leroy Carr and George Formby (Fan Stroke).

UKE Magazine Issue 32 - Riffs - C Major Backing Track

In the Riffs article in UKE Magazine Issue 32, it was mentioned that a good way to start coming up with riffs is experimentation, using scales, and a backing track. Use some notes from the scale in a repeated pattern, with the backing track in place so you can hear how it would sound when you’re joined by other musicians.

aNueNue Colour Series - Tenor Ukuleles - Coming in 2022

Coming to the UK in Quarter 3 of 2022 is aNueNue’s great value, solid top colour series ukuleles, now in tenor size.

A small number will be available in Europe in 2022, with the majority of those heading to World of Ukes. These are great value instruments, coming in at under £200, with a nice gig bag too. They look great, but it’s not all about the looks… under the funky finish is a very good, neatly made and great sounding uke.
